LINE gives every account a QR code, but it comes in LINE’s green layout. The link behind it is what matters. For an Official Account it looks like line.me/R/ti/p/@yourid. Paste that link here and you get a code that opens the same "Add friend" screen, designed to match your shop.
To find your link: in LINE Official Account Manager, open Home, then "Gain friends", and copy the URL. For a personal account, open Add friends, then QR code, and use "Copy link". Shops in Japan, Thailand and Taiwan rely on LINE for coupons and bookings, so this is often the code that brings repeat customers.
Where a LINE QR code helps
Shop counters
"Add us on LINE for a coupon" next to the till is the classic way Official Accounts grow.
Salons and clinics
Customers add the account and book or reschedule in chat.
Flyers and packaging
Repeat-order and restock messages reach buyers through LINE, not email.
