Location QR code generator
A pin on the exact spot, not just the street address. Good for places an address cannot describe.
Sample. Fill in to make it yours.
Prints a short link you can change after printing, with scan stats. Free account, 3 codes included.
PNG, JPG or SVG up to 1 MB. Stays in your browser.
A picture behind the code. The fade keeps it light enough to scan. Stays in your browser.
Set to Max because a logo covers part of the code.
A location QR code holds a pair of coordinates. Scanning it opens a map with a pin on that point, so people can walk or drive straight to it. It works for places without a useful address: the staff entrance round the back, a car park on a large site, a tent at a festival, the start of a hiking trail.
Coordinates are more precise than a place name and never change if a business renames itself. The code opens Google Maps in the browser or app, and iPhones can hand the route to Apple Maps from there.
Where a location QR code helps
Event sites
Gates, stages and first-aid tents on a large field, each with its own code.
Deliveries and pickups
The loading bay or the pickup point, so drivers stop circling.
Outdoors
Trailheads, viewpoints and meeting points with no street address at all.
How to make a location QR code
- 1
In Google Maps, long-press (phone) or right-click (computer) the exact spot and copy the two numbers.
- 2
Paste latitude and longitude into the two fields.
- 3
Download, then scan it standing somewhere else to check the pin lands where you meant.

Change the link later
The printed code stays the same. You point it somewhere new from your dashboard.
Scan stats
Scans per day and hour, countries, cities, phones and languages, without cookies or tracking pixels.
Pause a code
Turn a code off for a closed event and back on next season.
location QR code questions
Opening the map does. The coordinates themselves are in the code, so the pin is right even on a slow connection.
The Google Maps code is for a business people already search by name. A location code is for an exact point, such as an entrance or a meeting spot.
Four decimal places put the pin within about 10 metres. Five get you within about one metre.
