An Airbnb QR code opens a listing, a host profile or a guidebook. Hosts put it in the welcome folder, on the fridge or on a card by the door, so guests can save the place, share it with friends or come back next year.
The code only accepts airbnb links, so a card labelled Airbnb cannot be pointed somewhere else by mistake. With an editable code you can switch it between listings, or count how many guests actually scan it.
