A Bitcoin QR code holds a bitcoin: link in the BIP21 format: your address, plus an optional amount in BTC and a label. Almost every wallet app reads it and fills in the payment screen, so the payer only checks and confirms.
The code is built in your browser and never sent to our servers. Use a receiving address from your own wallet, and check the first and last characters after scanning the printed code. Wallets that rotate addresses will still accept payments to an old one, but for privacy you may want a fresh code per invoice.
